Our Philosophy

The Copley Cross-Country Program exists to compete at a championship level, establish personal records, and develop deep and lasting friendships.

We will work for hours towards our common goals.
We will redefine our outer limits as we achieve something big together.
We will not SPEND time at practice, but rather INVEST time at practice.

We will build a foundation for the rest of our lives; a foundation built on self-sacrifice, consistent and intelligent hard work, strong academic performance, and an unbreakable commitment to the common good.
We strive to create an environment where all student-athletes retain their unique personalities while vigorously pursuing team unity.
We believe in the concept of synergy, where 1 + 1 is greater than 2.

We will destroy the myth that cross-country is an individual sport.

We will encourage our teammates relentlessly and deal with temporary discomfort to create lasting memories.

We choose not to complain.
We welcome adversity because it will make us stronger.
We choose to build up rather than tear down.

We choose to courageously endure the valley as we climb to the peak of the mountain.
